Fee Structure
The membership fees for membership in the Homeowner Associations of Alachua County go to pay for the day-to-day costs of operating the umbrella association. Everything from development of the web site and web site maintenance, to office space and supplies. As a Not-For-Profit organization, members only pay for the actual costs to operate the association and any surplus funds are either used to offset future inflation factors or to develop new services and programs.
All member associations will receive a web site for their association, and all services provided via the associations web offerings (i.e. Home for Sale Listing)
Membership selection can be changed at any time that it best fits the needs of the neighborhood.
Base Membership - $150 Per Year
This level of membership not only provides a web site for the neighborhood, but it also provides a forum for daily updates on community events and concerns. This allows each association to exchange ideas and common concerns with one another.
Consulting Membership - $100 Per Month
This level of membership adds a consulting element to your associations membership. The Homeowner Associations of Alachua County has a State of Florida licensed Community Association Manager to provide advice and insight into association guidelines, state statutes, and other consulting type services. This level of membership best suits those associations managed by association directors and homeowners versus using a management company. This membership level presents an association the opportunity to manage some, or all aspects, of their association themselves. At the same time they can be ensured they are in compliance with all regulations without having to spend a great deal of their personal time researching issues.
Support Membership - $25 Per Month, plus $4 per lot/per assessment cycle
This level of membership includes collecting assessments, paying contractors, filing Annual Reports, sending out meeting agendas and minutes. This level of membership presents some neighborhoods the opportunity to manage some aspects of their association themselves without using a lot of their personal time. At the same time they can be assured the bills are paid and the assessments collected.
Full Membership - $225 Per Month, plus $4 per lot/per assessment cycle for Homeowner Associations and $6 per unit/per assessment cycle for Condominium Associations.
This level of membership provides all the services of the Support Membership, plus taking care of all of the associations daily business affairs. This includes collecting assessments, paying contractors, negotiating contracts, coordinating meetings, resolving problems, etc.
Individual Membership - $20 Per Year
Often times, one’s neighborhood may not have an association or one’s neighborhood has elected not to join the Homeowner Associations of Alachua County, Inc. and an individual may be interested in gaining access to the Homeowner Associations of Alachua County, Inc. resources. The HAACI has a great deal of information an individual homeowner would be interested in. Whether it be understanding how an association is suppose to work, what their options are in respect to being a member of an association, or information as to what State, County, and/or City Ordinances are out there, HAACI has a great deal of information available for the homeowner. By joining as an individual, you can help contribute to the efforts to improve homeownership in Alachua County.
